The District Nurses work as part of a multidisiplinary team based at Meadowside.
They provide a specialist nursing service, both in the community and in the practice treatment room.
They also liase with other agencies and Trusts to implement intergrated care, providing health education, information and support for the patients, familes and carers. |

Health Visitors are registered nurses trained in health promotion and education. Their aim is to promote health and well being by offering support; they advise on a wide range of topics to individuals and families within the community. In addition to visiting people at home, Anne and Carol also see mums-to-be and babies in the surgery.
Chris Caton RGN
Chris cares for our elderly patients. She advises and assists with continence issues, aids for daily living, adaptations and benefits. She also offers health promotion and support for carers.

Community Mental Health Nurses
Jackie Brown RGN RMN ENB 811 - Her patients are aged 16 to 64 years old.
Anne Ross RMN ENB 941 Dip HE Health Studies ENB 998 ENB N11 - Her patients are those of sixty five and over.
Our Community Mental Health Nurses see patients who are experiencing mental health problems and who require individual specialist therapy. They can see you in the surgery or at your own home, you will have been usually referred by a doctor.

Mr David Rowlands
David Rowlands is our prescribing support pharmacist and is based at the practice every Thursday. Apart from advising the practice team on all aspects of medicines and their use, he also holds medication review clinics. These clinics give an opportunity to discuss drug treatment in greater depth and to help answer any medication-related queries you may have. Please contact reception for further details. |

Community Counsellor
We have a counsellor attached to the practice to help patients with any situational problems (such as relationship problems). She will arrange to see you in surgery or in your own home, you will have been referred by a doctor.

Community Midwives from the Royal Lancaster Infirmary hold weekly antenatal clinics here at Meadowside on Wednesdays and see parents with new born babies at home.
